Tent gets submerged in Cornish Estuary
In one of the biggest camping fails we’ve seen this summer, a partially submerged tent was reported in the Gannel estuary in Cornwall.
Pictures of the tent were snapped and circulated on social media, and witnesses believe it was pitched at low tide on lush grass with a pretty view of the river…. safe to say, if you are not pitching at a campsite, it’s always worth asking a local!
Gemma Gagan shared this photo on Facebook with the caption, “when Glastonbury comes to the Gannel in Newquay”.
Gemma said: “I think someone is going to return to their tent realising they hooked up in an estuary on high tide”.
Tessa commented: “Saw this at low tide and wondered if they’d make it back in time”.
Crystal posted: “We saw this – police went there shortly after”.
