Where to go and what to do in Surrey this summer
There are so many great places to explore in Surrey this summer. And with many of us enjoying another summer staycation, it’s time to get the camping and picnic gear out, and go and enjoy the Great British countryside!
Make sure that you’ve got all the right camping equipment for local events such as Weyfest in Frensham (20-22 August), or if you are camping as a family there are many beautiful campsites to discover in and around Surrey.
Don’t forget to take everything you need for eating alfresco, and ensure that you are picnic ready in time for National Picnic Week, which is taking place across the UK from 19-27 June. Then you can enjoy events such as Music in the Meadow in Farnham, Music in the Park in Godalming, the Surrey Hills Artisan Festival in Dorking (3-4 July), the Guildford Cheese & Chilli Festival in Shalford (17-18 July) and The Legends Festival in Guildford (28-29 August).
Whether you are camping, glamping, festival-going or simply having a picnic in the park, Squire’s Garden Centre in Frensham has all the gear that you’ll need this summer. They have one of the largest ranges of camping equipment in the area, with tents, sleeping bags, inflatable beds, camping chairs, cooking equipment and many other handy camping and picnic accessories. You can walk around the tents and see inside them, and then relax and enjoy a drink in their Café Bar or a delicious treat in their artisan Food Hall, which sells many local products. Stock up on everything you need for your camping trip, and make sure that picnics are a breeze by ensuring that you have all the essentials such as water bottles, picnicware, a cool box and a large picnic rug. Products available while stocks last.
