If you are holidaying in Warwickshire would like to know more about Shakespeare’s country, why not join Stratford Town Walk tomorrow (15 July) for an entertaining, 1 1/2hr guided walking tour around Shakespeare’s historic Stratford. Discover the Shakespeare story and Stratford’s amazing history through fire, flood and plague, wrapped up with old-fashioned sayings, medieval cures and more.

See Shakespeare’s Birthplace, New Place, Hall’s Croft, Harvard House, Shakespeare’s School, River Avon and Holy Trinity Church.

The evening walks mark Stratford Town Walk’s 15th anniversary and will raise money for a local charity. There is no charge for the walking tour, but donations will be gratefully received and passed to the Aylesford cancer unit at Warwick Hospital.

Walks start at 7pm, outside Shakespeare’s Birthplace (timber-framed building opposite the Xmas shop.

Booking is essential as places will be limited.

Please arrive 6.50pm. The walk is FREE, but donations will be gratefully received for our chosen charity – the Aylesford Cancer Unit at Warwick Hospital.

The walk is wheelchair friendly. Dogs are welcome. Duration approx. 1 1/2 hrs.

Each person is given a ticket with 5 tear-off vouchers. There is no use-by date on the vouchers and they can be used to obtain discounts in Stratford at selected shops, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and attractions – example: the Butterfly Farm, MAD museum, Bancroft Cruisers 45 minute river cruise, 30% off entry to the Shakespeare Houses, 2FOR entry to Shakespeare’s School and more.
